This secular Facebook group was created specifically for homeschoolers in Maryland who, for whatever reason, have an alternative schedule and are unable to attend daytime events during the week. Maybe you are a one car family and the car is used for work during the week...maybe you'd rather both parents attend field trips....maybe you are a family of night owls and would rather do things later in the day...maybe you like to do structured school work during the day or maybe you use K12 and have to log in during the day...maybe you have a child with special needs who has medical appointments during the week...whatever your situation is, this is the group for you!

This Facebook group was created for Maryland middle school and high school parents who want to homeschool through 12th grade. We will offer support and encouragement to each other, as well as a space for resources and information.

This Facebook group is a supportive environment for any UNSCHOOLING family in the state of Maryland (or moving here). As unschoolers, we’ve experienced the frustration of not being understood and heard, so we are going to try to keep this group as comfortable as possible for our members by asking that the group be limited to UNSCHOOLERS in the state of Maryland or families seriously contemplating unschooling here in the next year or so.

Most general questions about unschooling or homeschooling in Maryland can easily be asked in one of many other groups, and a more focused group of members here will allow unschooling families to feel like they can share things that may not make sense or may be misunderstood in other settings. Thank you for understanding! We are not trying to exclude anyone but are trying to be the best group possible for a very small demographic.

This Facebook group is for homeschooling families in Maryland who believe in the importance of free play in nature and its value in a child's education. We hope to unite families in exploring and understanding our natural surroundings. We seek to build a homeschooling community that inspires curiosity, and empowers children to recognize and pursue their individual passions, while providing fellowship and encouragement for one another.

This Facebook group is for homeschoolers who live in or near Baltimore County who homeschool for other than religious reasons and teach science from a secular perspective. This is a place for us to share resources and to find like-minded folks.

Free Up is a Facebook homeschool collective that started in homes from parents getting together for the benefit of our youth's development and the building of community. We have evolved to include edutainment events for youth and a formal seasonal weekly learning space with an African STEAM focus (Science Tech Ethics Art Math) and a celebration of a term we have coined: AfroReganics, which is using nature and recycled materials to create and problem-solve.
