Parent Support Groups

The Friends Inspiring Real Education (FIRE) Homeschool Group is an educational support organization of Jehovah’s Witnesses families who, for various reasons, have decided to teach their children at home.

A Facebook group for locals to post ideas, trips, activities, get togethers, questions, support, or anything to help our kids and parents grow & learn!

We are a group of families whose foundations are in Jesus Christ and believe in traditional, conservative family biblical values. We gather together to enrich the education experience, to build relationships, to support one another, to encourage each other, and to provide our children with a variety of group experiences.

A facebook group is for families located in Carroll County, Maryland, who homeschool their children. Any member may share concerns, needs/wants, homeschool appropriate events, field trips or activities, useful links, items for swap or for sale (as long as they pertain to homeschooling) or other homeschool info.

A facebook resource for Carroll County (and other local homeschoolers) to help each other, ask questions, seek out or sell curriculum, ask about co-ops and more.

A non-profit organization whose mission is to provide a communal space for homeschooling families to educate and socialize their children in a nature-based, classroom environment.

Support group along with educational opportunities, field trips, etc. for Jehovah’s Witness families in the Baltimore area.

(Traditions of Roman Catholic Homeschools in Northeastern Maryland) is a support group in Harford and Cecil Counties and surrounding areas.

Maryland Homeschoolers is the largest private social media group for Maryland homeschoolers. With 5,000+ statewide members, the group is hosted as a safe, inclusive, and diverse community for sharing resources and asking questions about homeschooling.

This Facebook group is a supportive environment for any UNSCHOOLING family in the state of Maryland (or moving here). As unschoolers, we’ve experienced the frustration of not being understood and heard, so we are going to try to keep this group as comfortable as possible for our members by asking that the group be limited to UNSCHOOLERS in the state of Maryland or families seriously contemplating unschooling here in the next year or so.

Most general questions about unschooling or homeschooling in Maryland can easily be asked in one of many other groups, and a more focused group of members here will allow unschooling families to feel like they can share things that may not make sense or may be misunderstood in other settings. Thank you for understanding! We are not trying to exclude anyone but are trying to be the best group possible for a very small demographic.
